I don’t think a week goes by when I don’t make it to Peninsula, Ohio. Just when I think I’ve combed every place in and near the community, I find a new spot, angle or destination.

From the ponds and lakes to the hiking trails and raiload tunnels, I’m in love with everything I encounter.

But it’s the people that make the biggest impact. Local or visitor, it doesn’t matter. I am grateful for every friendly face and kind word wherever I go as a photographer in and near this area.

A quick shout out to Peninsula Coffee House (1653 Main Street, Peninsula, Ohio 44264). The incredible owners went out of their way with their investment and made an indelible imprint on this community. They even were gracious and let me showcase four photos in their popular wine cellar.

So where can I take photos for you? Which part of Cuyahoga Valley National Park suits your needs? Or, I’ll get amazing shots in your home or other venue.

I’m an outdoor guy too – weather isn’t an issue for photos. I’m up for the challenge, although I imagine you will like a warm day. But let’s not rule out the snow. I just can’t join you on the ski slopes – I was always too fearful to take up that form of exercise.

I did train many miles on Peninsula for marathons. Yes, ran my first mile in 2012 at age 48 and went on to run four half marathons that made their way through parts of Peninsula. I even added some full marathons – 13 total before health limited me in 2019. Your community made quite a mark on me during those years. In fact, all those miles on the Towpath helped me qualify for the Boston Marathon and I crossed that finish line in 2019.

But back to you. What do you you have in mind? Professional headshots? A pet portrait? A family gathering?  Some people want acting and model portraits for their portfolio.
