Engagement Photos at Schoepfle Garden and Vermilion Valley Vineyards
Garden paths, a playful lift, and time together at a vineyard—this Lorain County session shows how different settings can become part of the same engagement story.

You don’t have to arrive knowing how to pose. Just bring your ideas, your personality, and the person you love. I’ll help with the planning and photography, offering creative suggestions while staying flexible to your preferences.
“Mike was great to work with, he was awesome in helping me plan for a surprise proposal to my girlfriend. And of course, was able to capture some great shots!”

Let’s Plan Your Engagement Photos
Tell me what you’re picturing: Cleveland architecture, a garden, a Lake Erie sunset, or a place that matters to you. I’ll help you choose a setting and plan the timing for the best light.

Helping Plan the Surprise
Zach wanted photographs of a moment his girlfriend wasn’t expecting. I helped him prepare for the surprise proposal and photographed their celebration together.
When I’m involved before a proposal, we talk through the photography in advance. Knowing the intended spot and how the moment will begin helps me prepare without asking you to manage the camera as well handle your question: “Will you marry me?”

Engagement Portraits at Schoepfle Garden
Schoepfle Garden gave us room for photographs with different moods. A wider view places the couple within the garden, while a closer portrait brings attention back to their expressions and the way they hold each other.
I look beyond the obvious background. Paths, framing, light, and reflections can each contribute to the photograph. The goal is a gallery with variety that still feels like the same two people enjoying their time together.
A Little Playfulness, When It Feels Like You
The lift beneath the arbor adds energy to this session. Moments like that can be fun when both people are comfortable with them. A walk together, an embrace, or a shared laugh can be just as expressive.
I’ll offer ideas and help with positioning, then adjust to what works for you. There is room for affection and humor, as well as quieter photographs.

Picturing a garden, vineyard or other session?
Let’s talk about the places you love and the photographs you want to bring home.
Planning Engagement Photos in Lorain County
You may already have a favorite location, or you may want help narrowing down the possibilities. I photograph couples throughout Northeast Ohio and can help you think through the setting, available light, and whether one location or two fits your plans.
You can explore my engagement photography packages for session lengths and what’s included, then call or email me to discuss your ideas.

Continuing at Vermilion Valley Vineyards
The vineyard photographs add another setting to this couple’s engagement story. A second location can give a session a different rhythm and create images that complement the portraits from the first stop.
If you’re considering a garden and vineyard combination, we’ll discuss what you like about each place and allow for the time between them. We’ll also confirm access and any arrangements needed for the locations yo
